Sissy turned 8 in June. How did this happen? My little girl is EIGHT! And, she is growing up way too FAST. She's loosing the cutesy, little girl look and turning into quite the little beauty. I'm not sure I'm ready for that. Sissy is so smart, so fun, so pretty, so sweet, so generous, so strong willed and dramatic and SO MUCH A BLESSING to our lives. I love this little girl so much that it makes my heart hurt.
Sissy's birthday fell on a Thursday...a school day. So, JT and I brought her lunch and ice cream for her class. Sissy got to pick where and what we had for dinner...spaghetti and milkshakes at home. Love this child.
Happy Birthday!!
Dad is assembling...one of his many roles in the family.
Here's the fabulous Phantom Cake. Everyone loved it. Definitely, the hit of the party. The girls preceded to eat all the fondant off the cake and make themselves sick. LOL.

The girls ready for their dinner...okay, this is more like it.
Now, on to the birthday and party. Sissy wanted a *Phantom of the Opera* birthday party. I thought...well of course you do...then "how do we do that?" We thought about it and came up with a plan. She wanted a "fancy dinner" and watch the Phantom movie with a few of her close friends. This is SO Sissy...something different and with an intimate group vs. large.
So our plan...decorate for the dinner and movie, get the girls ready -- paint nails, do hair & makeup and put on dresses, serve dinner & cake, open presents and watch the movie. Well, I think Sissy had a great time so it was a success. Although, there wasn't too much movie watching...it's a long movie and there was playing to do. (I kind of thought that would be the case.)
Sissy got a pink Nintendo DSi for her birthday. This was a main thing she wanted. It took awhile for her to get interested in the whole video game thing, but here we are. Thankfully, she's not obsessed with it.
Also, we got her a new red dress for her party. She was beautiful. (yeah ebay!)
