pack cooler,
tell kids to put on swimsuits,
pack pool bag,
squeeze into own swimsuit,
look in mirror and cringe,
tell kids to put on swimsuits,
find flip-flops, hat, noodles and swim vest,
get everyone in the truck,
load all the stuff,
drive (~3 miles),
unload kids and stuff,
carry most of the stuff -- pack mule,
pay money,
scout out spot and stake claim,
apply lots of sunscreen to 2 kids and self,
scorch bottom of feet on hot cement -- countless times,
endure the HEAT (index 100+),
sizzle in the hot sun,
float in the water,
swim,
push kids on floatie,
catch kids jumping in pool,
tolerate A LOT of splashing,
mediate arguments,
receive kicks and bumps,
ignore meltdowns,
sit in water with friends,
swim,
be a bathroom escort,
distribute snacks,
more swimming,
more splashing,
pose for picture,
sit in water,
get a tan,
gross out -- germ phob at a public pool,
reapply sunscreen,
sit in water,
laugh...and laugh,
push kids through lazy river,
experience a few minutes of panic -- couldn't see kids,
endure badder pain -- despise public restrooms,
did I mention HEAT,
get a sunburn,
smile,
wonder how many kids are there -- too many,
keep hydrated,
get hungry for real food,
long for silence,
did I mention SUN, HOT, GERMS,
get kids out of pool,
dry off,
keep kids out of pool,
pack up stuff,
carry stuff,
herd kids to car,
get heat blasted as we get into truck,
listen to whining about sunburn hurting,
drive home,
listen to how tired my kids are,
instruct kids to to march straight into shower,
get mail,
unload stuff,
assist with little one's bath,
shower,
make food,
consume food with kids,
watch movie with kids and hubby,
put kids to bed,
endure more complaining -- so tired,
hurting -- sunburn,
tired,
pass out.
OKAY, DID THAT SOUND GRUELLING ENOUGH?
I was trying my best. It is a tough job but somebody has to do it.
All that swimming, sunning and laughing... Hee, Hee, Hee, Hee, Hee :) LOL!
Most days, Daddy would probably NOT trade places with me. Being a stay-at-home Mom IS a hard job...harder than I thought it would be. BUT, yesterday was one day he probably would trade...time with my kids and our friends at the pool. I'm blessed! Good Time, Good Buddies.

Yes indeed. It is hard, but AWESOME, to be us.
Wouldn't trade my life for anything...or my friends!!! :)
